Welp, crossing Hawaii off the vacation destinations list
There are 1.4 million people who live in Hawaii and several hundred thousand who visit every month.
So statistically, you're pretty safe. :)
You're probably more likely to die on the car ride to/from the airport than something like this, statistically.
Don't swim in warm fresh water.
Don't breathe in a dry building that might have mice.
And if you really want to worry about million-times more likely concern: do not cross the street.
Hawaii is lovely, and well worth a visit. I just wish it wasn't so strategically important and in such relative proximity to sketchy dictators on the other side of the ocean. :)
