Were they in a crowded space?

Wouldn't a military ship, especially a valuable aircraft carrier, involve some level of buffer around it that you would want to avoid being violated?

It looks like it happened near the Suez canal, so single file. Also, the ship it collided with was involved in another collision in 2016.

The Navy, especially carriers, operate like that drunk guy in a powerboat. With their lights and AIS off.

A destroyer isn’t going to help much when you’re trying to run over a bulk carrier.
