The preference file for com.apple.applescript holds a bunch of <data> keys that are base64 encoded NeXT "NXStreamType" objects, or "typedstream", it would change based on the endianess of the system it was running on. The only docs I could find were in a header file from 1999 written by Bertrand Serlet.
