> It's a worrying precedent

This is not a court of law. One small likely temporary event is not a pattern.

> that is the last thing you want to see

That’s hyperbolic. I can think of several things that would be worse and far more impactful. For example: deleting the repo, changing the license, and going to work for Unity.

> this is a submission with a fairly technical focus

It’s one person complaining of being blocked on social media ad threatening to stop their 100€ support.

There’s no technical focus here, this is internet drama getting more out of hand than it deserves.

It's actually a pattern of behavior, but no one's done a complete writeup yet. I agree that this single tweet doesn't meet the standards for a discussion point.

I find Lunduke tends to over dramatize things, even if there is usually an element in truth in what he's saying.

Side note: I'm not a conservative.

There is evidence that directly contradicts this: https://x.com/Xrayez/status/1839981060853043696 (subsequent thread is also interesting to read, both from technical and group dynamics perspective)

What was the focus of the two (dead) submissions posted from your account linked above?

This one highlights a situation that affects a technical project, its continued community health and future contributions to its development.

You’re the one fixated over technical focus. HN’s guidelines specifically say what’s on topic “includes more than hacking and startups”.

Either way, trawling through history to find something unrelated to nitpick is quite the bad faith argument. You have your fair share of downvoted comments too, but I’m not about to bring those up for a conversation that has nothing to do with those.
