I've been using the Palma and had the exact same experience as the reviewer. It's pretty great as a bedside device.

If it had a sim card slot, I'd drop my phone and move to the Palma as my primary device

I like it precisely because it doesn't have a cellular radio in it.

But the problem is I still need two devices

Are you sure it's absolutely necessary? Or do you just want it? Is it worth someone potentially knowing your precise location at all times?
