After the US had the BLM protests, Canada has had the same DEI drive towards indigenous people. I worry for the future generations of students who just want to find a job without having to be a part of some label.
Usually inclusive hires are forced because they have a lower chance of getting though a normal process. If it was an actual level playing field this would not matter but it isn't, and it's not even close.
The goal is for those policies to make themselves obsolete (at least where I live there is always a clear cutoff point where they should stop)
