There was some series of books in the 80s about secret things and it talked about the cocaine history. written by William something? I can't find it in a quick search.
Big Secrets by William Poundstone. There was also a sequel (Bigger Secrets). I read those books a bunch as a kid, but haven’t thought about them in decades. I wonder how they hold up.
