I feel like anyone talking about deregulation has been spoiled by the same regulations who keep them from developing cancer and dying at 35.

This is a bit of an overgeneralization, it's possible to be pro deregulation in certain markets while at the same time supporting regulation on proper disposal of toxic industrial waste.
