Tesla stock is down not just YoY, but also basically since the Twitter acquisition. This guys attention is clearly elsewhere, but he expects investors to vote to grant him the biggest bonus ever, and for what? Yeah, he met the targets, but he demonstrably is not acting in the best interests of the company.

For him to buy some other unprofitable social media company and sink it even further, of course.

I think he was decided he was done with Tesla when he got punished by the SEC. Now he refuses to spend any time with his publicly traded company.

My conspiracy theory is that he wants to get his payout, tank Tesla's stock, and then take it private again at the lower valuation. But I don't think there is any situation where the math would actually work out on that.

I think you have the right idea, but delete everything after the word "Payout".
