You can pay and still be the product. It can be free and you aren't necessarily a product of any kind. Examples aren't hard to find.
Only if the human has money to spend or excess time to provide labour. Across western societies, it would appear most people are stressed to their financial limits (I would expect significantly declining marginal revenue from further advertising as the consumer discretionary wallet is fixed or shrinking) and stressed to their time limits with little free time.
Can you name an example for an service that is free without using the user data to generate revenue?
Maybe "generating revenue" doesn't apply exactly, but...
