The article sort of touches on this, but the point of Liquid Death is so that you can order water at a bar or concert and it looks like you're drinking beer. You don't look like a loser drinking water.
What's different is this product was made to capitalize on this "problem".
Peer pressure is absolutely not new. People buying stuff due to this pressure isn't even new.
Generations prior would either not drink and accept the social ramifications, or concede. The "struggle" isn't new, the "remedy" is.
