There are folks who take shitty jobs because they don’t have anything. Say you’re dealing drugs, or pressuring poor people to buy lifestyle products they can’t afford. Or a closer example, working for data mining companies, or surveillance tech. At the lower end of the socioeconomic ladder, these things are complicated, because making a living is hard. Maybe that’s all you know, and any alternative would be a risky jump where you’d lose money, health care, housing, and providing for your kids. Not saying it’s one way or another, but at least it’s complicated.

But plenty of these individuals in PE have everything they need in life. They can retire comfortably early and leave plenty for their children, and have a second home in Hawaii and expensive hobbies. If you are in this position and actively and with full knowledge continue to harm others then you can’t blame “the game”. Nobody is forcing you.

People are responsible for their own behavior. They can't blame the game.

Do both.

The player also lobbies to keep the game going. So yeah, fuck those motherfuckers.

Humans aren't tools and therefore can't be 'useless'. You matter intrinsically. The most important lesson I've learned in life is the need to know and love myself - in a healthy, compassionate way. It doesn't matter what some other people think, what I do for them. I matter and you matter.
