Surely if the US was serious about the sanctions they could force Apple to brick all iPhones on Russian territory (together with all Windows laptops, PCs and servers, Cisco switches, commercial Linux distro servers, etc.).
They can at least stop paying taxes into Putin's war chest.
Also, Russian banks and other business concerns are publishing trojan horse apps that appear to be low effort games or random apps but instead contain hidden functionality to evade sanctions.
