A government is using a technology against its citizens? News at 11! Facial recognition is heavily used by all governments, in NYC, 15000 cameras are used for that purpose (1) as most Americans are already in a facial recognition database (2) that is accessed by the FBI (3), and even the retailers uses it(4), I read before the highway cameras are also used, but I can’t find the article. Same in the UK (5) and you should assume all governments are using it, in fact, right now governments leverage drones for even more efficient recognition.
