Copyright might seem absurd until you create something and see other take it and benefit from it while you cannot do anything to prevent it and get nothing.

There's a flip side to that. It also allows companies to take credit for things their employees did. My dad got screwed like that, invented something pretty neat and the company he worked for claimed it was theirs because he worked there, even though he did 100% of the work in his garage at home.

Well I definetly think there is a contradiction of too absurdities here, because if I read your book how could you forbid me to tell my friend about it?

But telling my friend about it is the production and transfer of a copy to a third party, just with a certain amount of information loss.

You can try and rephrase it as much as you like, but that’s just not how copyright works. And even if copyright somehow did work that way, you are not making any financial gain by telling your friend about a book so it would still not even be considered infringing on copyright.

Of course copyright law is going to look absurd when you make up absurd scenarios that have no relevance to the actual law.
