I'd like to point out that with a good ad blocker, Spotify free tier with the web client is nearly indistinguishable from Spotify Premium.
Maybe I have bad hearing - but even with good, wired headphones I have to try really hard with lots of repeats to identify the lowest quality sample in a blind test.
