This isolation is short sighted. China is not some messed up country with no one skilled labour around to do stuff like that. If it becomes national cause due to such tactics, it will only fuel the progress.
All that the isolation did was slow them down. It was smart.
Frankly, I don't like the Chinese government or their industry, but they deserve the same rights to self-determination that the west has enjoyed for decades. They are investing heavily in that capability. I don't blame them at all.
People who know what China is doing say that China should not be as autonomous as the West has been in the past.
China wants the rest of the world to be China, too.
It’s a communist dictatorship with a lot of hunger for a lot of things, mostly control of people who are and are not located in China.
How many places has China fucked up like the west has? You argue they should be suppressed based on warped hypotheticals, but the reality is China is a better steward of the globe than the west, and this century will bear that truth.
