this really is such an underplayed story. No one - not Russia, not Venezuela, not Saudi Arabia - NO ONE is producing more oil than the US.

There was a chart I saw on HN related to this that also showed most of the increase is going to exports and maybe even a decrease in domestic demand iirc

Let me see if I can dig that up, it was actually a site with lots of data and graphs you could play with

Yup, imports down, both production and exports way up

I wonder how much of this is the US shipping natural gas to the EU and other countries
