the answer to both is probably "there is no best", pick what works for you and gets out of the way. If you don't have something, pick something mainstream for the learning, community, and ecosystem

I'm partial to the Google Cloud, but pretty much anything is going to be fine, especially if it is a demo/mvp size project. There is a lot of detail and nuance I'm glossing over, but to fill that in would require detailed knowledge of you application and ambitions for it
