It’s Amazing how fast Satya acted, but things are going so crazy that I wouldn’t be surprised if Sam Altman announces on twitter that he is not joining MSFT.
Do we know if they acted that fast, or is it not possible that they've already been negotiating for months to hire the key staff and that Sam got fired when the board found out?
It takes some pretty good gymnastics to land that theory.

I'd bet Microsoft created a plan-B in case OpenAI went rogue like this, big companies just don't react this fast otherwise. Things didn't go this fast even when Elon Musk took over twitter, and things happened really fast then.
