What is MS going to do? Ask for their money back? Kick OpenAI off their cloud?

If MS takes their ball and goes home because the OpenAI board made a decision they didn't like, it's better that that happen sooner rather than later, eh? The whole point of OpenAI is to put human values before the profit motive, no?

They can just stop giving them new GPUs, undercut their API prices by a significant margin(they have the same models!), set up transitioning pipeline, etc. They can cause OpenAI A LOT of pain if they want to.

Why would they want to do that? Because of a romantic entanglement with Sam Altman?

Why would they suddenly stop acting in the best interest of their business?

And then?

Imagine the headlines, "MS Guts OpenAI for Putting Ethics over Profit." That's how it would spin, eh?

I don't have to imagine.

Yeah, eh? MS just literally offered all OpenAI employees jobs. And most of them seem to want to follow Sam Altman regardless of whether it's at OpenAI or MS. Altman has already joined MS. I'm speechless.
