We could either change our eccentricity in order to shorten our year to exactly 364 days, or we could keep our eccentricity constant and change our perihelion and aphelion.
I'm too lazy to do the math to figure out whether the change via either approach would be less than the difference we already experience due to our current orbital eccentricity.
Would love to know, if anybody feels like doing the algebra at the very least in terms of insolation.
