Putting off people with an aversion to furry art is a great way to filter out the most tedious sort of people. Try to please everyone and you end up pleasing no one.

The author is a furry. Being a furry is pretty common and I bet even more people would be willing to engage with it if it weren't for comments like this.

ehhh...I think it only seems common because it's amplified by the internet. Still, it's weird, many are perverts, and I don't really think most people want business advice from someone who's basically announcing to the world that they jerk off to cartoon animals

You are misinformed. There's a lot more to furries than that. If you want to learn more, Mastodon has some good SFW instances that are very tech focused.
