History shows that low-skilled jobs were typically replaced with similar low-skilled jobs, such as transitioning from farming to factory work. However, we are now entering an era where we can potentially replace most low-skilled jobs. The question is, what will happen to the hundreds of millions of people who will be displaced? Without a significant revolution in the economic model, it may not be possible to address this issue. What will a 50-year-old truck driver do? Go to college and learn software engineering? We know that this is not feasible in the majority of cases.
