yeah sadly that seems to be the case. they are using 1st party inline scripts, so even blockers with dynamic filtering rules are unlikely to catch this.
Interesting. I always use an adblocker so never noticed. There are a couple of really good ones out there. You may want to try uBlock or Adblockplus. Both seem to work well.
With an ad blocker, the page is quite readable. I never ::1 without it.
