The community decides what appears on this site. What is your basis for censoring things that you find personally objectionable?

The commentator is not a censor as they don’t have mod powers like dang, and telling people about the shiftiness of reputation is the first part of deliberation. Now the community is talking about it.

I think your first sentence directly answers your second one.

Two things:

1.) The Post Millennial is a Canadian publication. If you’re not Canadian (and keenly aware of the media landscape) they could look like a legitimate source.

2.) Do I look like dang? I have zero mod powers this ‘censor’ is an example of using too much word. I used my knowledge in #1 to inform a community whose quality I care about.

Have a nice day.

The community decided that both these stories that were rising in popularity are quickly removed and flagged?

Hmmm

The community also includes moderators such as Dang, as well as various automated systems that act on behalf of the encoded norms. This is a fairly well known aspect of HN?

hmm ok im familiar with Dang and for a bit there I thought maybe these sites where these stories are ... are conspiracy theorist sites. Though here is the same story on ABC's Good Morning America in which the Govenor of Hawaii is addressing and speaking on the issue.

Though Maybe it's just not a Hacker News topic but it should be as it's interesting and it needs to be spread for the sake of those poor people who just lost everything!

Reading the article, four of the seven paragraphs are direct quotes from the Governor, two more are simply summarizing what he said, and one relays reporting from the Honolulu Civil Beat. It all seems to be fact-based reporting

I think you mean trans woman? Female is a phenotype of development.

We do not yet have the technology to transition between phenotypes.

What we call 'trans' is coordinated social therapy for people undergoing gender dysmorphia, for which there is no cure, that allows them to live as they choose with minimal triggers to their psychosis.

It's a crude solution, sure, but preferable to suicide in most cases.

Can you point to something in the article that is false or a conspiracy? Your bias and lack of maturity is showing and it goes against the spirit of HN.

Is the Hawaii Governor accurately quoted, without being taken out of context or something of that nature?

If not, please provide a link to the accurate quote.

If so, the reputation of the source is an irrelevant ad hominem attack.

Hitler saying it's raining outside doesn't automatically mean it's dry.
