iPhone Mini was (RIP) 5.42" and felt very compact. I loved its form factor, but hated its battery life.

It was the best phone for everyday use - apart from the missing 2x zoom camera (I didn’t care for the wide angle) and the battery life.

The Zenfone 10 has less than five percent more surface area (Length x Width) than your Nexus 5.

Probably has something to do with the bezel size

Also having a 20:9 screen instead of 16:9.

Keep in mind that Nexus 5 has a 16:9 aspect ratio when this phone is more like 18:9.

My 5,2" Motorola Moto G5 Plus fits pretty tight in a case for a Google Pixel 6a, which has a 6,1" screen.

Here are some body size measurements:

Moto G5 Plus: 15,0x7,4cm

Pixel 6a: 15,2x7,1cm

When it comes to the Zenfone and Nexus 5:

Zenfone 10: 14,65x6,8cm

Nexus 5: 13,8x6,9cm

I suppose it's really more about cultural perception than anything else.
