I have a probably silly question:

Has anybody ever made a mirror of Reddit? Like something somebody could use with Kiwix?

Voat

I thought that was a totally different website. Voat has all of the text from Reddit?

No no, no content from reddit. It was a very similar clone. Plagued by slow speeds and that 'special' crowd from /b/.

Ah, I should clarify. I meant a mirror as in a copy of the content that someone could put on a big drive and search locally.

There were ceddit and removeddit, which kept a copy of everything, for viewing deleted comments/posts.

Maybe someone out there still has an automated dump set up.

There's a reddit community for that too: https://www.reddit.com/r/pushshift/
