Man that's crazy. Think of all that extra time you'll have if timsort was used! An extra 2ms to go on that walk while your system is booting.
BSD is sometimes used in some iot-like devices, of which there are 3 billion. If I randomly assume 0.5% of those are running a fork of FreeBSD, that's 15 million devices. I'm also going to randomly assume that devices reboot once a month on average.
That all comes out to 4.2 days/year saved! Wow!
