I don’t trust that discord will prompt for handle changes fairly.

They say that preference will be given based on registration date but don’t say that’s the only preference.

It’s rolling out over months so it will be impossible to audit or test.

My fear is that preference will be given and even though I’ve used discord for many years my handle will be taken by someone else.

The lameness is that they are doing an unfair landgrab where people won’t know if their handle is safe or not for some unpredictable amount of time.

My feeling though is that most people don’t care about their handle based on all the “blarghy1988111” handles that I see.
