Not clickbait. It documents Twitter's modus operandi, and the irresponsible way it grants it's "verified" status, in some cases even against the user's request.

The fact that it even happened at all, with Musk's claimed intent to "clean up" Twitter, as compared to his laughably inept mismanagment, is newsworthy.
