Twitter gives fake Disney account verified status

Not clickbait. It documents Twitter's modus operandi, and the irresponsible way it grants it's "verified" status, in some cases even against the user's request.

Irrelevant. The whole point was that Twitter proactively verified a bullshit account.

The fact that it even happened at all, with Musk's claimed intent to "clean up" Twitter, as compared to his laughably inept mismanagment, is newsworthy.

It absolutely did happen, and Disney had to alert Twitter about it.

Well, I mean, it does seriously call into question what new-Twitter means by 'verified'...
