What would it take to bring something like this to the US? Is it just not road legal (safety wise) to meet North American standards? I'd pay a 50% (or more) premium to get it here.
People have imported cheap Chinese evs for farm or questionably legal neighborhood ev usage.
what sort of extra engineering is required to make it road legal? I assume paperwork is really just certification to prove it meets existing regulations, but if the car requires "extra" engineering, then that's a big problem isnt it?
