I'm wondering why this wasn't on the first page 7h ago? At the moment I see the post just fine on the first page.

It was on the frontpage when I went to bed last night. You may have missed it, the title wasn't very clickbaity or eye-catching.

Could be, I missed it.

Nah, p sure it's a conspiracy.

nods, taps nose, secret handshake, etc.

Sure. My title deserves this response. I'd still like to know, why https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35285390 wasn't on the first 5 pages 8h ago.

There are two useful unofficial pages:

https://hnrankings.info/35285390/ It looks like it has been in the front page for a long time

https://hackernewstitles.netlify.app/ (no permalink :( ) It looks like the title has not changed.

Maybe it was but with a different title? Who knows.
