I do not hate the tech industry per se. I have come to hate capitalism bitterly.
The grocery industry absolutely lives and dies on capitalism, for example, but it isn't destroying teenage mental health.
I've read a lot more into anti-tech and philosophy of tech stuff recently, even some anarcho-primitivism (though I realise that's unrealistic). I actually should read Ted K.'s works to see his thought, even though I don't condone his methods.
That said, I do wonder if we can make more human-oriented tech if it wasn't for capitalist incentives. Probably, but it'd look like nothing that we have now I feel.
