I sometimes need to respond to an HTML mail by editing its contents. The Gmail web interface allows me to do that easily.
Until I can figure out how to do edit an HTML message in emacs, I'm stuck using the browser as my email client.

I feel like there are two approaches for this ideally using live-preview:
- Edit the html directly and live preview the result in a buffer to the side. - convert the html with pandoc to org or markdown, edit that, then convert back and see the live preview
For most email I bet either would be sufficent, but maybe more complicated ones you'd need to either improve pandoc or edit the html directly.
