"Please don't complain about tangential annoyances—e.g. article or website formats, name collisions, or back-button breakage. They're too common to be interesting."
It seems informal and a waste of my time. I'm reminded of the biographical wordarrheah at the head of recipes these days. I. Don't. Care. I'm too old and I don't have time for this.
Not just recipes. Ad driven and SEO industries have made every thing you search for 90% irrelevant bs. I used to be able to search for a PHP function or howto and just see the code. Now to learn something in JS I have to scroll through 500-1000 words of bloat for 10 lines of code when I just want the name of a function or the common way of doing things. This sucks.
Yeah, can't let it cut into your "complaining about websites" time.
You must be a blast at parties held by the professionally offended.
Wrong scale of time. Comments take <2 minutes. Reading an article can take >10 minutes. Additionally, the complaining is less than 5% of my commenting time. I use it mainly to bolster opinions not already commended.
The dialog format is the best part!
And let's ask ourselves what exactly prompts folks to need to comment their disdain for only certain types of articles and not the countless dozens of others they filter through regularly. We'll never know!
