This is excellent. I'm working on Book III of my series (https://www.albertcory.io) which takes place in the 90's, and I really want to have one of the characters dive into the pre-Web online world. Prodigy was definitely a part of that.

If you think this stuff is old: the Computer History Museum (Mountain View) has IBM 1401s that work! https://computerhistory.org/exhibits/ibm1401/

Big Iron, for sure.

I hope the Computer History Museum will consider an interactive exhibit of early online services someday when the Prodigy, AOL, CompuServe, and other service recreations are more complete.

That would indeed be interesting. As would some working Minitels.

And a working PDP-1, which I'd highly recommend visiting. You can listen to some of the earliest computer music and play Spacewar!, the first video game to share or sell more than a single copy (as it were).
