Remark: "It is warmer than it should be at this point in time, so I have taken unexpected and uncommon action to cool my home."

Replies: "yeah but what about", "here's how you're wrong", "this is all your fault", etc.

Real shame.

I anticipated all of those lol. Just sharing my anecdotal experience.

I am at altitude in Colorado and I didn't use the AC once this summer. So?

Exactly. So? So what? You're the one saying a fact without context. You tell us. Is that normal? Is that what you'd expect? Is it unusual?

Which was my point. It doesn’t mean anything.

Weather is not the same thing as climate.

Climate change changes your local weather. We had a miserable time in the PNW this summer, across the whole region.

People turning on AC when it's "almost 80" is part of the problem.

So if people only turned on their AC past 80, that would significantly solve the problem?

If not, why are you mentioning it?

80°F = 26.6°C. I usually wait until 30°C (86°F), perhaps 28°C (82.4°F) if the humidity is too high.

Depends entirely how that electricity is generated.
