was wondering how he protects his site _SESSION and it turned out to be quite interesting as the /back/index.php file that set the session (https://github.com/millworks/miter/blob/d8553b991c6e96cbc71b...) is protected with good old basic auth trick (probably apache or .htaccess setting) - simple and effective for personal use.
