Can the irish apply to get priviliges? Or is the only factor here the persons skin color?

Also the Jewish and Italians, because they were discriminated against similarly at the time.

Some major US schools did have affirmative action for Jews for a time to offset their prior policies that banned Jews from attending. Jewish students are now not statistically at any disadvantage compared to the average, so such programs aren't necessary.

I'm Irish and am pretty sure I'm 'BAME'. The Poles definitely are. I don't know if Italians / Spanish are 'LatinX' or not.

Nor does the US Latino community. Doesn't stop it being used.

But translating the DEI stuff from a US perspective to a European one is difficult. So as far as I concerned the Italians and Spanish are LatinX.
