Scientists puzzled because James Webb is seeing stuff that shouldn't be there

This is more or less what JWST's soverign purpose was, now seemingly semi-complete: looking as far back/away as possible, and seeing what the shape of galaxies were at those reaches.

Better title: Scientists Actually Required to do Science with James Webb Data

Because space is curved, if you look far enough you should be seeing the back of your head.

Maybe those sophisticated-structure galaxies that are 'way out there' are some of our close neighbors.
