it’s batshit crazy they got rid of it. it was perfectly focused on just the messages and nothing else. when i’m done reading something i don’t give a single fuck about where it goes as long as there’s a great search feature to let me find it again.
it kills me there is no spiritual successor. i’ve stripped down mac os mail.app to more or less work like that, but it’s not quite the same.
the hey.com client gets a lot of things right imo, but ive had the same gmail account for the past 17-18 years—and there's just no way im going to switch over to a hey.com address that requires that i keep paying for it or have it be deleted.
