The real problem here is browsers treating recently "expired" (but otherwise still perfectly "valid") certificates as comparable in danger to visiting a known malware den. This is absolutely the sort of thing that could harmlessly wait until the next Monday to address if it weren't for the overwrought interstitial warning page.
