That's The Band, not CCR, if I recall correctly. Great song

Yes I misremembered the story. Probably because the title has so many C’s and R’s in it.

To be fair, it’s probably the most CCR-like song The Band recorded.

The Band started out in Toronto, Canada. Which, frankly, I wouldn’t have expected.

And CCR is from Berkeley. Not so much "born on the bayou" as the song goes.

The song is "Up on Cripple Creek" by The Band.

I thought Cripple Creek was The Band? Or did CCR cover it?
