I'm almost 40 and would love to work with older devs. Wisdom and experience is seriously under appreciated in our industry.

The problem is that the older devs are no longer young enough to know everything.

This is a regrettable culture misfit with the younger devs who do.

can you elaborate on the 'younger des know everything'.

The only time in my life when I thought I knew everything was when I was a stupid new developer.

This isn't devs of course, this is just young people.

The more you learn, the more you realize how little you know.

That takes time. We call it wisdom. There are no wise young people - only wise beyond their years.
