Not OP, but one answer I've often heard and experienced myself is that statically typed datastructures feel painful when you come from dynamic languages like Python, Ruby or JavaScript.
sqlc.dev make it way easier to deal with db
I hope so, last time i checked about 6 months ago, I spend a day trying to make the most basic of queries work with mysql8, was a complete disaster.
