No. To protest the political developments in Florida they are moving the conference from Florida to Chicago.

So it's not just "I disagree with your politics", it's "I disagree with your politics, so I don't want anything to do with you."

But it still has nothing to do with Florida no longer representing the safe and family-friendly destination, unless there's an unusual reading of "represent" at play?
