Question: YS or SU?

YS forever. SU had some good covertapes, but YS was a way of life.

Oh, agreed. But I had the best of both worlds: I liked YS while my brother (a few years younger) preferred SU, so we could nag our parents into buying one each. I suspect YS was a little too highbrow for a nine year old.

But how the mighty have fallen. I'm now reduced to buying the Crash annual at Christmas...

For the uninitiated. YS and SU were two highly distributed magazines from the 80s.

YS: Your Sinclair https://archive.org/details/your-sinclair-magazine.

SU: Sinclair User https://archive.org/details/sinclair-user-magazine
