I was a student at UTCN, as well, and I found it hard to get a decent book on electronics to learn from. I've found the lessons in Electronic Circuits online, used it and then translated it for my fellow engineers, that's how much I liked it. Unfortunately the original website got hacked, so I did my best and recovered the content in its current format.
